New MEG-3 Version
Ocean Nutrition Canada (ONC) has introduced a new version of its MEG-3 food in-gredient with a DHA:EPA ratio of 5:1, which will enable food products to contri-bute to improved nutrition for infants and mothers. DHA and EPA are the two important nutrients found in fish oil, which contribute to normal growth and development. Natural human breast milk con-tains a DHA to EPA ratio of 4:1 reflecting the need for this balance of DHA:EPA in infant nutrition. MEG-3 food ingredients come with a patented form of micro en-capsulation called Powder-loc, which locks the DHA and EPA into the food ingredients, while locking the smell and taste of fish out of the food.
